The way we feel emotionally often affects our bodies’ functions. But the opposite is true. Our daily habits can have substantial effects on how we feel.

Did you know that walking is one of the most effective tools for depression and anxiety? Walking an hour a day can literally lift the cloud from over you.

Also, few people realize that our hormone balance also affects our mood. When we have imbalances we can experience mood swings, depression, irritability, and anxiety.

Even less realize that parasites and medical conditions can also affect how we feel; case in point, yeast infections or Candida.

Candida is a condition when yeast becomes overgrown. You may see it in your mouth, on your skins, in your genitals, or even experience the growth systematically since it can grow in the lining of your stomach.

  • Candida symptoms can include:
  • Feeling tired and worn down
  • Chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia
  • Difficulty concentrating, poor memory, lack of focus, ADD, ADHD and brain fog
  • Irritability, mood swings, anxiety, or depression
  • etc.

Candida overgrowth is possible when our immune system is not working as it should, most often because of the foods we eat.

Sugar and spices are the first culprits.

Also, the use of heavy refined starches, honey, syrup, sweetened foods, fermented foods, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, and hot spices such as ginger, curry, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and black or red pepper. These should all be eliminated from the diet, as well as drugs such as aspirin.

Amazing! Right?

Feeling sad or anxious is just a symptom. As we learn about our bodies and how to take care of them, we can experience the promise God gives in Exodus.

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:26
