After such a horrid life of sin, is it even possible that Solomon will be saved?
Answer:
We hope so. It is always sad to think of one’s utterly failing for whom God has done so much. However, we believe he will be saved because Ecclesiastes, written after his idolatry and worldliness, shows that he clearly saw them as folly and repented of his sins (Eccl. 12:9-14).
The fairness and grace of God are so remarkable that even the most profligate sinner can repent and turn from sin to righteousness; God won’t even count all the sins of his past life and counts him as worthy (Ezek. 18:20-32). Glory to God!
