Will you explain Galatians 5:14? That surely does not mean that the law is fulfilled by loving our neighbors, right?

Yes, loving our neighbor is essential to fulfilling the part of the law that relates to our neighbor. That is what is meant by the statement, “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans 13:10). If the law pertains to our neighbor, then perfect love fulfills that aspect; if it pertains to God, perfect love fulfills that part as well. However, true love is always demonstrated through actions. Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15). The apostle John also states, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (1 John 5:3). When we love our neighbors as ourselves, we will strive to serve them, as illustrated in 1 John 3:14-18. A loving person will help their brother. John concludes his thoughts by saying, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18).
