Please explain, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven,” Matthew 24:30. What will that sign be?
Answer:
When Jesus ascended up on high, “a cloud received him out” out of the sight of His disciples. Then the angel said to them, “This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:9-11) When He comes again, it will be in a cloud. (Luke 21:27; Rev. 1:7) This cloud will be composed of countless angels of God and will be first seen and recognized by His faithful followers. (See Psalms 104:3; cf. 68:17). It will signify Christ’s immediate coming for those that look for him.
