The 2,300 Days

Question:

I would like you to explain why you add 34 to 1,810 when it has been cut off from the 2,300 days with the 490 days or years.

Answer:

The 2,300 prophetic days of Daniel 8:14 begin in 457 B.C. and end in A.D. 1844. These represent 2,300 literal years. Starting in the autumn of 457 B.C., they conclude in the autumn of A.D. 1844. Calculating from 457, there are 1,843 full years; however, since the period begins in the autumn of 457 B.C., it extends beyond A.D. 1843 to the autumn of A.D. 1844.

Additionally, seventy weeks (Daniel 9:25), or 490 years, were specifically allocated to the Jewish people from the 2,300 years. Out of these 490 years, 457 occurred before Christ, and 33 years occurred after Christ, extending into the thirty-fourth year. That results in 1,810 remaining years until A.D. 1843.

In other words, the 490 years designated for the Jewish people span from the autumn of 457 B.C. to the autumn of A.D. 34. Therefore, subtracting 490 from 2,300 leaves 1,810 years. Adding these 1,810 years, starting from A.D. 34, brings us to A.D. 1844. The two numbers, 490 and 1,810, together comprise the 2,300 years, with the 490 years allocated exclusively to the Jewish people and the remaining years applying to the whole world.
